You never know what lies beneath the smile.

It could be true happiness or horrible sadness.

This blog is just an insight to me and who I am.

A nightmare come true.....

The worst thing in the world has just happened.....
A terrible nightmare come true.....

I must begin this story at the beginning.

My mom is on a diet.
Meaning, so am I.
We hardly have sugar anymore and to be honest, it isn't all that bad! At least, until last night.

You see, I had a long day, one of those days that just doesn't seem to end. So I decided to treat myself to a small bowl of ice cream.
I took my first bite. Hmmm...something didn't seem right.
I'm just kinda tired. That's all.
Take another bite.
No, something is wrong.
Another bite.
And then it hit me. Like smack in the face, it hit me.
This ice cream was GROSS!!!!
It must be old or something. So I ran to the kitchen to look at the box.
Nope. Not old.....
I took another bite.
Gag.
Sob.
Cry.
I put the bowl down on the counter and walked away from it.
I just couldn't handle the pain, the heartbreak. My one true love, Cookie dough ice cream, has betrayed me. I can no longer enjoy the best thing in this world.....

Farewell, Ice Cream.
I will never forget you.

  1. Alas. Let us all take a moment to bow our heads in silence as we honor our dear friend, Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Cookie Dough was an ice cream that gave freely to everyone and never asked for anything in return. He was patient and kind, and he was always there for us when boys were stupid. His life was all about bringing joy to others. His goodness will live on in the stomachs of those who loved him.

  2. My sincerest condolences... its great to see you post again I'm sorry it was such a sad note though... I remember the time that gave up Mt. Dew for Ragnar preparation... when I got home it never had the same taste... :(

  3. I've heard about this thing before. It is a sincere tragedy, and I offer my condolences. But staying away from sugar has it's perks! You'll be healthy your whole life! Unlike the rest of us addicts... Definitely a nightmare come true though, I love ice cream infinitely too much.

So I have a question, I was reading your blurb and it says that you love reading. If I'm not mistaken I recall that you hated reading? Am I wrong? or has that since changed? We need to play cutie!

  4. This is just plain wrong. I hope you went out and treated yourself later or the next day. If not to ice cream then at least a doughnut. I'm sorry, but when emotions need junk food they NEED junk food.

The good news is that people rarely stick to their diets for very long. Go out to ice cream with friends at least once a week until this passes. She'll come to her senses sooner or later.

Then again, maybe she's using this to get you to move out. Hmmm . . .
